Rainbow’s Expressions and Observations, or Only Visiting This Planet In Search Of A Brain, or I Know The Answers 42, but What’s The Piggin’ Question?

I never did seem to fit in with my contemporaries, or, with most around me, never understanding why my thoughts, feelings and actions seemed so different from those around me and from the 1960’s many have known me by the name Rainbow due to my love of colorful clothes. At 35 I set off on a great adventure and unknowingly set foot on a journey that still continues today. It was a journey of self discovery, although I didn’t realise it at the time, allowing me to experience many different cultures and philosophies from Native American Shamanism, to Romany Gypsies, to living the life of a traveler in a van and through living in a witch’s covenstead. I have always been able to write and it’s always come out in verse. At the start of this new journey, I was alone, for the first time in my life and started, what I called at the time ‘a log’ Quite frankly, by this time, I seriously considered, that I wasn’t from this planet! Even if it only meant that I seemed to be alien to most people, my thoughts, the way I think people should be treated, the way I wanted to be treated, was reflected in my writings. Born the youngest of three, in London, England, ‘Rainbow’, has always been an, ‘Americaphile’, loving all things American, especially chrome and fins on cars! At 15, he left academia and enrolled in ‘The University of Life.’ He traveled to America in the 70’s and again in the 80’s, although that ‘Rock and Roll Dream’ ended in him, returning to England, totally broke and alone. He turned, for comfort and companionship, to his ‘scratching pad’ and wrote, always coming out in verse, when The Muse struck, his Expressions and Observations, on what he fondly calls, the upright biped species, that infect this planet, as well as his own thoughts and experiences. He slowly became convinced, that he was not from this planet, even, if that only meant, he seemed alien to most people! However, U.S. Immigration finally confirmed it, when they stamped his passport, as a Legal Permanent Resident and issued him with his Official Alien Number! Thank you U.S.A., now it’s official!
